GLVCC Beautification Grant Program

The Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer GLVCC Beautification Grants to Chamber members committed to enhancing the quality of life in La Vernia.

Grant funds are made possible through Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce who believe in keeping La Vernia attractive, welcoming, and economically strong.

Members are invited to apply by proposing a project that:

  • Benefits the La Vernia community
  • Creates economic or civic value for the Greater La Vernia Area
  • Is visible, impactful, and sustainable
  • Encourages community pride and engagement

Priority consideration will be given to projects that demonstrate:

  • Meaningful community involvement, particularly through volunteers
  • Partnerships or collaboration between community groups, nonprofits, or organizations

Eligible projects may include:

  • Beautification or general enhancement of the city’s appearance
  • Improvements to La Vernia parks or public spaces
  • Seasonal or permanent lighting and decorative enhancements
  • Infrastructure or capital improvement projects
  • Recreational enhancements for residents or visitors
  • Initiatives that increase opportunities for tourism, sporting events, competitions, conventions, or seminars

Grant details:

  • Grants are reimbursement-based
  • Typical awards range from $100 to $500
  • Projects must be completed and awarded by December 31st.
  • If additional time is needed, a written request for an extension must be submitted; otherwise, unclaimed funds will be forfeited
  • Deadline May 31st, announced by July 15th

Project proposals are evaluated based on feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and overall benefit to the La Vernia community. Applicants whose projects are not selected will receive feedback from the review committee.
