The Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce is looking for scholarship applicants who have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Eligibility

To qualify the student must:

  1. Be a graduating high school senior that is currently enrolled at La Vernia High School, at the La Vernia Christian Teaching center or as a home-schooled student living within La Vernia ISD.
  2. Must have plans to attend a two year or four year accredited post-secondary institution or have plans to pursue advanced educational training in a career trade school.
  3. Complete the application and prepare a business plan as outlined. The business plan will be judged based on its professional appearance, content, creativity, and sustainability of the business.


Scholarship awards must be collected no later than two years following the recipient’s graduation date from high school.

 

The 2018 Scholarship Program is closed
Check back after Jan 1, 2019 for the 2019 Scholarship Application

Our guest speaker was Dr. Josh Walters, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of La Vernia. Pastor Josh spoke about the history and mission of First Baptist as well as their exciting plans for a new campus on FM 1346 across from the Primary School.
