Since 1971, the La Vernia Lions Club has been a community based service club dedicated to making a difference by enriching the lives we serve and providing assistance through volunteering. Each year, the Lions Club members undertake fund raising activities to support our many projects.

All of the money raised is returned to the community in the form of scholarships for graduating high school seniors, food and monetary donations to the local food pantry, school supplies for needy students, monthly bingo at the local nursing home, vision and eyeglass support for the visually impaired, and sponsorships for area children so that they may attend, without charge, the Texas Lions Camp for physically disabled, hearing/vision impaired, and diabetic children.
